Child Advocacy Center Open House

The Gresham Center houses a regional Child Advocacy Center (CAC) where interviews and investigations of children who have experienced abuse are conducted. The CAC allows the community law enforcement and legal teams to pursue reports of child abuse more effectively and efficiently, which result in higher prosecution rates. Most importantly the CAC offers protection and a caring and healing environment for victims of child abuse.

Meridian Health Services Child Advocacy Center has received full national accreditation by the National Children's Alliance. At this time, only four of Indiana's 21 facilities have met the rigorous standards to receive this accreditation.

In 2011 the Child Advocacy Center held an open house to:

  • Dedicate the unveiling of The Listening Tree which honors the children whose voices we have heard
  • Focus on April as Child Abuse Awareness Month
  • Recognize our Founders and Supporters
  • Celebrate our National Accreditation
