Personal Bio
My name is Heather Masters, and I am an Adult-Geriatric certified Nurse Practitioner whose career began in primary care, where I developed a deep appreciation for caring for individuals affected by substance use disorders. Through those experiences, I discovered how meaningful it was to support patients struggling with addiction, I developed a passion for the study of addiction treatment and the unique opportunity it provides to help people overcome challenges, rebuild their lives, and achieve their personal goals.
In 2017 I began working with people with substance use disorders, earned a board certification in addiction medicine, and have remained dedicated to this rewarding specialty ever since.
While addiction medicine is my primary focus, I value providing holistic care that addresses the many medical and mental health needs that often accompany substance use disorders, including hepatitis-c, mental health conditions, and other acute or chronic health issues. I believe treating the whole person is essential to supporting lasting recovery and overall well-being.
One of the most rewarding parts of my work is helping people who may feel overlooked, discouraged, or disconnected, rediscover hope, purpose, and meaningful aspects of their lives. I believe every person deserves compassionate, judgement-free care and the opportunity to be heard.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time outdoors, reading, caring for my plants, and making memories with my family. Building relationships with patients and supporting them through life’s challenges brings purpose to my work. I welcome open conversation and would be honored to be part of your healthcare journey.
