Personal Bio
McKinzie Edstene, PNP-PC is a board-certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner dedicated to helping children thrive through compassionate, family-centered care. Serving patients in New Castle and Richmond, she brings a unique blend of experience as both a pediatric physical therapist assistant and a nurse, allowing her to support children’s health from both a medical and developmental perspective. As a mother herself, McKinzie understands the importance of listening to families, building trust, and creating a supportive healthcare experience.
Before becoming a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, McKinzie worked with children and families as a pediatric physical therapist assistant and later as a labor and delivery nurse caring for mothers and newborns. Her diverse clinical background, combined with advanced nursing education from Ivy Tech Community College, Indiana University East, and Purdue University, enables her to provide comprehensive, evidence-based care.
McKinzie chose to join Meridian because of its commitment to patient-centered care and improving community health. Her goal is for every child and family to leave feeling heard, valued, and confident they have a trusted partner in their healthcare journey
