Michele A. Schaeffer is a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner providing medication management and substance use treatment for patients ages five and older. Operating out of Peru, Indiana, she offers virtual services across multiple Meridian locations.
With more than 48 years in healthcare, including over 40 years focused on psychiatric care, critical care, and nursing education, Michele brings extensive expertise to her practice. She holds an ASN and BSN from Indiana University at Kokomo and an MSN from Maryville University of St. Louis. Inspired by a lifelong passion for mental health, she chose Meridian for its whole-person care philosophy. Michele strives to ensure every patient feels heard, understood, and supported in living a fulfilling life.
