Venu Alapati, MD

I am a Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist at Meridian Health Services, providing both telehealth and in‑person care at the Indianapolis location. I treat children and adolescents with a wide range of mental health concerns, focusing on whole‑person care that supports patients and their families.

Before joining Meridian, I worked for five years at Valle Vista Health System in Greenwood, Indiana. I am board certified in both General Adult Psychiatry and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and completed my training at Brookdale Hospital University Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York.

I was drawn to Meridian because its mission aligns with my commitment to whole‑person health and community‑centered care. I also value the welcoming environment and opportunities to teach and mentor medical students, residents, and nurse practitioners.
My goal is for patients and families to feel heard, respected, and culturally understood. I strive to ensure concerns are addressed thoughtfully and that patients leave feeling supported and confident in their care.
