Public invited to ‘Holidays at Gresham’ each weekend in December

MUNCIE, Ind. — Meridian Health Services invites the community to Holidays at Gresham, a free drive-through light exhibit with over 1 million lights on display.

According to a news release, attendees will enjoy driving through the many lighted exhibits including “Candyland, seeing Mr. and Mrs. Claus, hearing the sounds of Christmas music, and feeling the holiday season in the air.”

Holidays at Gresham will be open every weekend in December from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Suzanne Gresham Center, 3620 W. White River Blvd.

A special first look at the light exhibit will be on Giving Tuesday, Dec. 3, from 6 to 9 p.m.

Holidays at Gresham is Meridian Health Services’ annual holiday fundraising event, sponsored by Meridian Health Services and American Electric Power Foundation.

This year, donations made at Holidays at Gresham and online will benefit Meridian’s Child Advocacy Center, which is located at the Suzanne Gresham Center and works with children who have experienced trauma from abuse and other harmful situations.

Since its inception, the CAC has served thousands of children and led to higher prosecution rates of offenders, according to the release. A donation of $30 will provide a child with a Hope and Healing Comfort Kit, which includes a blanket, stuffed animal, hygiene products, snack and other age-appropriate activity items to help the healing begin.

While donations are not required to drive through the exhibit, they are critical in supporting Meridian’s Children Services programs.

Those who make a donation at the Holidays at Gresham First Look on Dec. 3 will receive a special gift, while supplies last. Additionally, donors every weekend in December will be entered to win a $100 gift card; a drawing will be held each weekend.
