Meridian Health Services will host a Back-to-School Fit Fair from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. July 24 at Richmond High School, offering health screenings, low-cost sports physicals, immunizations and school registration services for local families.
The event is being held alongside Richmond Community Schools’ registration day, according to a community announcement. All ages are invited.
Attendees will have access to a free Health & Fitness Zone featuring health screenings provided by Meridian Health Services. Available screenings include blood pressure, vision, body mass index, pulse oxygen and mental health screenings.
Meridian Dental’s mobile dental team also will provide dental screenings and cleanings. Food, drinks, backpacks and school supplies will be available while supplies last. Radio station G101.3 will provide a live remote broadcast and music during the event.

The Meridian School-Based Health Clinic at Richmond High School will offer $10 sports physicals during the fair. No appointment is required and students from all schools are welcome to participate.
Immunizations and registration offered on site
The Wayne County Health Department will provide low-cost immunizations during the event. Walk-ins are welcome. Advance registration is available at in.gov.
Families also can complete school registration through Richmond Community Schools at the event.
