On January 27, 2015 Governor Mike Pence announced that the Healthy Indiana Plan (HIP 2.0) was approved and applications were being accepted with coverage to begin February 1, 2015. HIP 2.0 provides coverage for qualified low-income Hoosiers ages 19 to 64, who are interested in participating in a low-cost health care program. HIP is a consumer driven health plan that requires members to make monthly contributions to their POWER accounts in order to maintain coverage. Hoosiers with incomes of up to $16,297 annually for an individual, $21,967 for a couple, or $33,307 for a family of four are generally eligible to participate in the Healthy Indiana Plan. 2015 Open Enrollment for The Health Insurance Marketplace Has Ended. What Happens Next?
The 2015 Open Enrollment Period for the Affordable Care Act Marketplace has ended, but you may qualify for a Special Enrollment Period. If you do not qualify for a Special Enrollment Period, you can enroll during the next Open Enrollment Period which will be November 1, 2015 to January 1, 2016.
To see if you qualify for a Special Enrollment Period you can apply in three ways: online, by phone, or in-person with the help of a trained assistor or Navigator. Meridian Health Services has licensed Navigators who are happy to help. You can call Meridian to set up an appointment with a Navigator by calling (765) 288-1928 or email us at email@example.com. We currently have Navigators in the following Indiana counties: Delaware, Wayne, Jay, Fayette, Henry, Randolph, and Rush.
