CITY FIT RETURNS ON JULY 29 AT NEW LOCATION IN RICHMOND

RICHMOND, Ind. – Meridian Health Services’ City Fit returns to Richmond on Saturday, July 29 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at a new location at the Wayne County Fairgrounds located at 861 Salisbury Rd., Richmond, IN 47374. This free community event is being held in person for the first time since 2019 and will feature a color run 5k, fitness classes, health fair, Kid’s Zone, and much more.

City Fit is an event promoting “whole-person” health and provides our community with all of the resources needed to live a healthy life – physically, mentally, and socially. Richmond is rich in resources and City Fit is an opportunity to bring them all together in partnership to benefit the health of families, friends, neighbors, and the overall community.

Activities and classes are free to all, which allow participants to get a feel for what a fitness class is like without the pressure or expense of a gym. Meridian and other local organizations will provide health screenings and information on healthy opportunities within the community. Vendor booths include Meridian Health Services’ offices for dental, pediatrics, primary medical care, addictions & recovery, behavioral health and Foster Hope, as well as other healthcare organizations, fitness centers, and community resources.

Participants who register before July 17 will receive a free t-shirt. Register and learn more about City Fit at MeridianHS.org/CityFit.

City Fit is supported by presenting sponsors – Reid Health & Reid Health Community Benefit, G101.3, and Wayne County Health Department. Additional support provided by Barnhizer & Associates, Pal-Item Local IQ, DOT Foods, Dire Skates, Land O’Lakes/Purina, LifeStream Services, and Sadler & Ryan Orthodontics.
