Pekka Mathew, MD

Pekka Mathew, MD, joined Bluffton Medical Group in January 2015 when his former group, Caylor-Nickel Clinic, joined BMG. He joined Caylor-Nickel in 2000. Prior to that, he was in a private practice in Huntington, Indiana.
Dr. Mathew earned a medical degree from Thiruvananthapuram Medical College in Kerala, India, in 1981. He completed his internal medicine residency training at Monteflore New Rochelle Hospital and Medical Center in New Rochelle, New York in 1996.
Dr. Mathew, who is board certified in internal medicine, underwent rotating senior house training in various hospitals in the United Kingdom in a variety of specialties. He was also the registrar in medicine at City General Hospital in Stroke-on-Trent, England. He is a member of the Royal College of Physicians.
