Timothy Remington, PMHNP-BC

Personal Bio

My background includes almost twenty years as a registered nurse in emergency services.

I am a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner providing patient-centered care at Meridian Health Services. My education includes a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Ohio University, Master of Science in Nursing from Walden University specializing in Mental Health, and a Post-Master’s Certificate in Veteran’s Health from Ohio University.

I chose to become a PMHNP because I believe in the importance of our mental health, and how improvements can impact our overall well-being. The ability for patients to recognize the importance of mental health and taking proactive steps to maintain it can lead to a healthier, more fulfilling life. Mental health affects how we handle stress, relate to others, and make decisions. If we take care of the mind, you enable people to better handle challenges and setbacks, and to develop positive and meaningful relationships, which are crucial for emotional support and social interaction.

My goal at Meridian and as a PMHNP is to provide a collaborative experience for patients to be heard in a safe environment, and to have a voice in the development of their treatment. Working on ourselves is never easy, but hard work and dedication can improve your mental health, and I hope to help you on that journey.
