MUNCIE, Ind. – Meridian Health Services’ FosterHope program is hosting Fostering the Future, an event for those interested in becoming foster parents or learning more about this rewarding service. The event is on Saturday, July 20 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Suzanne Gresham Center located at 3620 W. White River Blvd., Muncie, IN 47304.
Fostering the Future will feature information booths from local service providers, as well as a complimentary lunch and a chance to win door prizes, while supplies last. Additionally, licensed Foster Parents will be there to answer questions.
Indiana is facing a critical situation with more than 4,000 children in foster care and over 14,000 reported cases of child abuse and neglect as of May 2024. FosterHope is a therapeutic foster care program developed and managed by Meridian Health Services. The program is actively seeking compassionate individuals to become foster parents and provide the care these vulnerable children deserve. FosterHope is available to residents of Indiana.
