City Fit will be transitioning, this year, to our new event Back to School Fit Fair.
We are refocusing to broaden the scope of our free events to even more communities. Our renewed focus will help even more youth with the resources they need and provide the greatest impact on the health of our communities. Providing more free healthcare services makes a stronger connection to underserved populations resulting in better long-term community health benefits.

CITY FIT
Meridian Health Services’ City Fit came BACK and was held LIVE at the Wayne County Fairgrounds in Richmond, IN on July 29 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
City Fit is an event that promoted “whole-person” health and provided our community with all of the resources needed to live a healthy life – physically, mentally, and socially. Richmond is rich in resources, and City Fit was an opportunity to bring them all together in partnership. By doing so, we can better take care of our families, friends, neighbors, and the overall community.
ACTIVITIES:
City Fit 2023 included the following events:
- Color Run 5K
- Fitness Classes
- Health Fair
- Kid’s Zone and More!
Classes were FREE to all, which allowed participants to get a feel of what a fitness class is like without the pressure or expense of a gym. Meridian and other local organizations provided health screenings and information on healthy opportunities within the community. Vendor booths included local hospitals, fitness centers, mental health centers, chiropractors, herbal healers, gardening groups, and more. Participants received free massages, healthy snacks and various fitness equipment to help them get started on their journey to a healthier lifestyle.
