Thank you for joining us at Meridian Dental – Family Dentistry for Give Kids a Smile. This was our fifth year offering FREE dental exams, education and preventative services to children ages 1-18 in honor of Children’s Dental Month.
Oral health is a vital part of whole-person health. Untreated dental diseases can contribute to serious health problems, including heart disease and diabetes. Regular checkups and professional care are the keys to maintaining healthy teeth and gums.
The free dental exams included an exam with a dentist, polishing/cleaning, and fluoride application.
Give Kids a Smile is over, but Youth Dental Care is always important!

About Give Kids A Smile
American Dental Association’s Give Kids A Smile® (GKAS) program ensures access to quality oral health care for all children and is an annual volunteer initiative. Thousands of dentists across the country will take time from their practices to help children who aren’t receiving the oral health care they need.
The ADA recognized that this grassroots effort had great potential to raise awareness nationally about the importance of oral health to overall health and about the staggering need that exists among millions of children who go without dental care.
So, in 2003, Give Kids A Smile evolved into a nationwide program with the goal of providing free oral health care to children.
